The role
An Assistant Financial Accountant is responsible for preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, analysing financial data, supporting management accounts and statutory reports, assisting with audits and budgets, collaborating with departments to improve processes, ensuring compliance with policies, and supporting ad-hoc projects within a finance environment. Candidates should possess a solid understanding of bookkeeping, experience with reconciliations, analytical skills, and familiarity with finance systems and Excel. The role is suitable for those studying towards professional accounting qualifications like AAT, ACCA, CIMA or ACA and interested in a long-term finance career. Proficiency in tools such as XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Pivot Tables, and financial software is expected. The position offers exposure to diverse accounting tasks within a dynamic setting, fostering professional growth and experience.
