The role
Lead the development of ultra-realistic autonomous-vehicle simulations by building and guiding a high-performance research engineering team focused on foundation-model-driven realism.
Collaborate with DeepMind London and Waymo Oxford to adapt large foundation models for realistic agents, weather, roads, and traffic scenarios in the simulator.
Design rigorous experiments to push the frontiers of simulation fidelity and create metrics that quantify realism and generalization.
Train, evaluate, and integrate large models into the simulator and downstream applications, delivering production-ready ML pipelines and tooling.
Hire, mentor, and grow diverse research engineers, translating research ideas into robust, scalable production solutions.
Drive impact by solving complex production ML problems, building ML infrastructure, and ensuring measurable improvements in realism and reliability.
