The role
The agentic AI engineer within the Collaboration Team at a university in Manchester is responsible for designing, building, and embedding AI solutions using tools such as CoPilot Studio, AWS Bedrock, GPTs, and LangChain. They configure and maintain AI experiences across Microsoft 365 and Teams and develop AI agents to meet staff and student needs. The role involves testing and iterating agents in live environments while ensuring security and functional compliance, and providing technical support to colleagues on AI tool adoption. They collaborate with security, architecture, and governance teams to ensure safe deployment and document technical artefacts for all AI solutions. Monitoring usage, contributing to knowledge repositories, and engaging with AI community practices are also essential aspects of this position.
