The role
Serve as the subject matter expert for U.S. export controls, including ITAR, EAR, OFAC, and customs regulations, across the organization.
Determine license requirements, submit applications, and manage approvals from the Department of State, BIS, and OFAC as needed.
Classify products, technologies, and software for export control purposes and ensure compliance with approved authorizations.
Develop, implement, and enforce trade compliance policies and procedures; maintain compliance records, training, and audit readiness.
Partner with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Legal to screen transactions, manage deemed exports, and review international travel requests.
Conduct due diligence on customers and vendors against restricted party lists and prepare export documentation and invoicing.
