The role
The Cloud Engineer role involves contributing to the design and delivery of cloud services within SSE, with a focus on infrastructure enhancement, automation, and supporting digital migration efforts. The candidate will collaborate with strategists and architects to develop technical solutions, manage demand, and implement cloud-native patterns for scalable and resilient systems. Responsibilities include designing automation frameworks, identifying improvement opportunities, and ensuring security and lifecycle standards are maintained. Knowledge of AWS or Azure and cloud architecture is essential, with experience in infrastructure automation tools like Terraform or Ansible preferred. The role requires solid analytical skills, software development knowledge, and familiarity with CI/CD tools to support infrastructure and application deployment.
