Cook – Milton Keynes

The Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking nutritious meals using fresh ingredients while managing weekly menu plans and dietary requirements. They will collaborate with the Home Manager on stock ordering within budget and ensure compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations. The role involves supervising kitchen staff and maintaining quality assurance systems. The Cook also works with healthcare professionals to align meal plans with individual support and risk assessments, and promotes dignity and independence among residents. Candidates should have experience cooking for large groups, NVQ Level 2 in catering, and at least two years' catering experience, with a minimum of one year managing kitchens. Strong interpersonal skills are essential for engaging with residents and staff in a residential care setting.
