The role
An electrical engineer with a background in heavy industry is sought to provide maintenance and support for electrical systems at a well-established smelter in the Scottish Highlands. The role involves working with transformers, switchgear, protection relays, motors, VSDs, substations, and industrial power systems, ensuring electrical safety, reliability, and asset improvement. Candidates should hold a degree in electrical engineering or equivalent and have experience in an industrial setting. The position offers a Monday to Thursday schedule with a shorter Friday, working on various electrical projects and supporting plant breakdowns and shutdowns. The role provides opportunities for technical development and relocation support to the scenic Scottish Highlands.
