The role
Seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to lead month-end close and deliver accurate financial reporting for a nonprofit-focused organization in New York, NY.
Oversee balance sheet and bank reconciliations, and create and post journal entries to support the general ledger.
Manage accounts payable processes and ensure adherence to organizational policies and controls.
Assist with audit preparation by gathering documentation for internal and external reviews.
Utilize Sage Intacct and other accounting systems while applying advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
Collaborate with the team to optimize workflows, support ad-hoc financial projects, and achieve financial objectives.
