The role
This is a 12-month industrial placement focused on developing and testing computer vision and machine learning solutions for railway inspection.
You will work on track and infrastructure measurement projects, contributing to automated inspection workflows.
Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams in computer vision, data analytics, and software engineering to perform applied research.
From prototyping to evaluation, contribute to end-to-end development of CV/ML systems for real-world railway tasks.
Required coding experience in Python (preferred) or C/C++, with exposure to deep learning libraries and image processing techniques.
Attend code reviews, document results, and clearly communicate findings to stakeholders.
