The role
The Lead DevOps Engineer oversees the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and resilient cloud platforms, guiding a team of engineers in adopting modern DevOps practices. Responsibilities include automating infrastructure with Terraform and GitLab, designing CI/CD pipelines, and managing Kubernetes workloads via Amazon EKS and Istio. The role requires expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, and monitoring tools such as Datadog and Grafana, with a minimum of six years in a senior DevOps position. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential, as is the ability to evaluate new technologies to improve platform capabilities. The position involves mentoring team members and ensuring high availability, performance, and operational excellence across systems.
