The role
An embedded machine learning engineer will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to build and deploy models on hardware with limited resources. They will handle sensor data preprocessing, model optimisation, and deployment; working with embedded tools such as TensorFlow Lite and Edge Impulse. The role requires understanding of hardware constraints, real-world data challenges, and model validation in operational environments. The engineer will iterate models based on field performance and support platform expansion across domains. Strong Python skills and experience with sensor data are essential, along with the ability to communicate technical details clearly. The position involves working in Edinburgh with some flexibility for remote work.
