The role
A live-in carer provides personalised care and support to clients, living with them during their rota, which may involve 10-12 hour shifts and break periods. The role involves assisting with personal care, medication management, meal preparation, light housekeeping, mobility support, and providing companionship. Carers are expected to communicate effectively, observe health and safety protocols, and maintain accurate records using care management software. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations are essential. The position requires flexibility, empathy, and discretion, with opportunities for training and career development in the domiciliary care sector. Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK and willing to undertake an Enhanced DBS check.
