The role
The role involves developing and optimising outage plans across various time horizons, from six years to same-day operations, to ensure system security and efficiency. The engineer will produce secure, cost-effective configurations for the control room and manage transmission constraint costs while minimising system risks. Collaboration with internal teams and external customers to resolve access conflicts is essential, along with innovating solutions for complex issues. The position requires analytical skills, experience working with diverse teams, and a strong technical mindset, working within a high-pressure environment. The role offers extensive training, with a focus on power systems, suitable for candidates from various backgrounds. The position is based in Wokingham with flexible hybrid working, including the possibility of one day per week onsite.
