The role
Provide high-quality sign language interpreting and transliteration for a range of academic courses to support equity for students with disabilities.
Prepare for assignments by reviewing course materials, syllabi, and coordinating with faculty, students, and program staff.
Collaborate with SAS directors, coordinators, and student development teams to enhance access and engagement.
Accept on-site interpreting assignments across multiple campus locations as needed and maintain scheduling flexibility.
Mentor fellow interpreters and interns while pursuing ongoing professional development to maintain expertise.
Meet regularly with the Assistant Director/Coordinator to review feedback and uphold professional standards.
