The role
Yolk Recruitment supports a leading manufacturing business in recruiting an Environmental & Sustainability Engineer for a large site in Newport. The role involves maintaining and improving ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 management systems, ensuring compliance with UK environmental legislation, and overseeing environmental permits and licences. The engineer will lead environmental initiatives, manage waste and emissions, investigate incidents, and develop policies and procedures to meet legal and best-practice standards. Working closely with internal teams and external regulators, they will monitor performance and pursue sustainability opportunities. The ideal candidate will hold a relevant degree and possess manufacturing experience in environmental compliance and legislation.
