The role
The legal counsel provides legal support to the UK business, ensuring compliance with standards, governance, laws, and regulations. The role involves reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial agreements and supporting sales teams to structure customer contracts aligned with corporate standards. It requires identifying legal risks and collaborating with colleagues across the legal team to develop templates and guidance materials. Providing training on contractual processes, legal risks, and compliance is also part of the role. The ideal candidate is a qualified lawyer with post-qualification experience in commercial law, familiar with IT and digital regulations, and skilled in stakeholder management. A strong track record in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts in technology-driven environments is essential.
