Part-Time Assistant Cook – Salford

Salford City Council is seeking an Assistant Cook to join a small, dedicated kitchen team. This role involves assisting the Cook Supervisor, covering in their absence, and maintaining high standards of food presentation while delivering excellent customer care. The position requires NVQ 2 in Catering or City & Guilds 706/2 in Catering, with a current Basic Hygiene certificate being desirable. The role is 22.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, during term time only, and is fixed term. Applicants should possess good organisational skills, a keen interest in catering, and the ability to work as part of a team. Technical environment includes commercial kitchen equipment and food safety standards compliance.
