Freelance Carpenter | Event Production

Role: Collaborate with a small team to construct and install large-scale event structures, including drapery, decor, and trim carpentry. Responsibilities: install drapery with hand and power tools; fabricate, assemble, and install carpentry components; estimate materials; read blueprints and schematics. Equipment: operate table saws, routers, sanders, pneumatic tools, air compressors, staple guns, and other shop equipment. Physical requirements: lift 50+ pounds; work at heights (12 ft minimum) on lifts or scaffolds; maintain safety and quality throughout installation and deinstallation. Location: Upper East Side and Brooklyn, NYC. Schedule: evenings and weekends; extended hours as needed. Requirements: proven experience in carpentry, set design/building, and/or event production; ability to work with fabrics and drapery; read plans; valid driver's license; on-site work. Additional: prior experience with tents or large-scale event installations is highly preferred.
