A Senior Mechanical Engineer at Scientis Search Ltd will take ownership of designing, developing and delivering complex precision mechanical and opto-mechanical systems from concept to manufacture. The role involves defining mechanical architectures, creating sophisticated mechanisms and leading major engineering workstreams to meet performance, manufacturing and reliability standards. Collaboration with specialists in optics, materials science, chemistry and manufacturing is essential to develop fully integrated products across the entire lifecycle. The engineer will lead technical reviews, support supplier development, and contribute to engineering governance and continuous improvement initiatives. Technical expertise in precision mechanical system design, tolerance analysis, and FEA is required, alongside experience with CAD tools such as SolidWorks. Prior experience in adaptive optics, opto-mechanics, scientific instrumentation, or related fields is highly advantageous.
