Electrician – Salford

The University of Salford seeks a qualified electrician to join its Estates Maintenance team, responsible for maintaining a large university estate. The role involves undertaking planned and reactive electrical maintenance across diverse facilities, including teaching and residential buildings. Duties include inspecting electrical systems, fault diagnosis, repairing, and executing minor installations, mainly on 415v and 230v systems. Successful candidates will have City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations, with proven experience in electrical works and health and safety practices. They should be able to work independently and collaboratively, supporting other trades and possibly participating in out-of-hours call-outs.
