Pharmacist/Independent Prescriber – Eastleigh

This position involves clinically assessing patients, reviewing medication histories, and providing evidence-based prescribing within established protocols. Responsibilities include dispensing prescriptions, counselling patients, and ensuring medication safety, legality, and effectiveness. The pharmacist will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams such as GPs and nurses, contribute to patient care, and oversee pharmacy standards. Maintaining accurate records, supporting governance, and mentoring staff are also key duties. Candidates should have a registered pharmacist qualification with the GPhC and an independent prescribing certificate, along with experience in community pharmacy and clinical decision-making. Strong IT skills, knowledge of medicines legislation, effective communication, and organisational abilities are essential for successful service delivery.
