Based in Burton upon Trent, this Materials Controller / Buyer owns purchasing and order management for direct and indirect materials.
Manage ERP/MRP-driven purchasing with precise specifications, part numbers, and pricing to support production.
Liaise with suppliers to track orders, expedite deliveries, and resolve invoicing or shipping discrepancies.
Monitor inventory levels and use MRP data to prevent shortages while supporting reordering.
Provide technical input by evaluating material specifications and quality standards.
Contribute to cost reduction by analyzing market trends and securing competitive supplier quotes.
