Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
Analyze plans and specifications to define scope, clarify technical requirements, and validate assumptions.
Collaborate with fellow estimators, engineers, and operations to gather data and ensure estimate accuracy.
Review subcontractor and supplier bids for competitiveness, compliance, and risk factors.
Maintain a database of historical cost data and update estimates throughout the project lifecycle as scope or costs change.
Assist in bidding activities, including bid package preparation, pre-bid meetings, and site visits to corroborate local conditions.
