A DevOps Engineer supports the design and coordination of application build, deployment, and configuration activities within a government programme, working in multi-disciplinary teams to enhance digital services. The role involves implementing infrastructure as code using AWS CloudFormation or Azure Resource Manager, maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI, and managing Linux environments and containerisation technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. Candidates should possess awareness of security practices, perform system monitoring, and evaluate tools to improve operational efficiency. Responsibilities include troubleshooting system issues, updating deployment solutions, and supporting legacy system migrations, all within a collaborative environment. Successful applicants will hold security vetting to SC level, demonstrate strong technical skills in cloud, scripting, and automation, and adapt to dynamic project requirements.
