Heavy Highway Construction Estimator

This role focuses on accurate project cost estimation for highway construction, preparing competitive bids, and supporting preconstruction activities.
Review plans, specifications, bid documents, and site conditions; perform quantity takeoffs and develop detailed cost estimates.
Coordinate bid preparation with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and ensure bid clarity.
Provide constructability input, value engineering, and risk analysis during preconstruction; assist with budgeting and handover to field teams.
Analyze cost performance, investigate variances, and generate budget vs. actual reports to support cost control and procurement.
Strong communication, collaboration, and analytical skills are essential to deliver accurate estimates and win bids.
