AI Research Engineer – Datadog AI Research (DAIR)

You will partner with research scientists to turn ideas into production-ready systems, focusing on data, tooling, and infrastructure.
You will build datasets, training and evaluation pipelines, benchmarks, and internal tooling to enable rapid iteration.
You will run experiments at scale, profile for reliability, performance, and cost, and orchestrate distributed training and RL with Ray.
You will make the research stack observable, reproducible, and easier to use, with automated benchmarks and regression tests.
You will collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate advanced AI capabilities into product ecosystems and to harden prototypes into reliable services.
You will contribute high-quality code, documentation, and open-source artifacts to enable the community to reproduce and extend results.
