Temporary Production Editor

Seeking a temporary Production Editor to manage title traffic and ensure quality across adult, kids, and classics. Collaborate with Editorial, Design, and Production to copyedit, proofread, and route jacket and cover materials from draft to final proof. Prepare electronic manuscripts in MS Word for copyediting; collate and review corrections between passes. Apply The Chicago Manual of Style guidelines; utilize PDF markup and electronic styling as needed. Demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent time management, and the ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Location: New York City with partial remote options; 2-3 month assignment, 28 hours/week, $37/hour.
