Maintenance Assistant

Provide first response to reactive maintenance requests across hospital facilities, performing tasks such as ventilation grille cleaning, light cleaning, toilet unblocking, and meter readings in compliance with standards.
Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) across building services in line with the programme and personal competency.
Respond promptly to maintenance issues to minimise penalties and meet contract requirements.
Assist with installation work for minor upgrades and adaptations, and conduct systematic fault finding on malfunctioning equipment.
Apply knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including ventilation, pumps, boilers, heating and domestic water systems; a relevant engineering qualification is desirable.
This role requires a DBS Basic check; healthcare maintenance experience is desirable; strong safety, teamwork and communication are essential.
