The industrial engineer conducts analysis of production processes to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for automation or redesign. They perform time studies, line balancing, and capacity modelling to support operational planning. The role involves optimising material flow, layout, and workstation design to enhance ergonomics and throughput, as well as validating process changes in collaboration with production teams. They lead continuous improvement projects, develop dashboards and KPIs, and support cost reduction initiatives through scrap reduction and cycle time optimisation. Additionally, the engineer collaborates with quality departments to improve process capability and lead a small engineering team, providing leadership and coaching to embed a culture of continuous improvement across the site.
