The Azure Platform Engineer is responsible for designing, deploying and maintaining production-grade Azure Kubernetes Service clusters, with emphasis on security, scalability, and reliability. The role involves managing cluster architecture, integrations with Azure services, and troubleshooting complex issues across environments. Technical skills required include Kubernetes internals, Azure networking, Helm, Terraform, and observability tools. The engineer acts as a subject-matter expert, supporting incident response, performance tuning and disaster recovery procedures. The position demands excellent communication skills to coordinate with development, security and operations teams in a cloud environment.
