Mobile Engineer

A Mobile Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining consumer mobile applications on iOS and Android platforms. They will lead the architecture and development of mobile apps and cross-platform technologies, modernising existing legacy hybrid apps to React Native. The role involves handling app performance, stability, releases, and app store submissions, collaborating with product teams, designers, clinicians, and backend developers to deliver new features. The engineer is expected to have experience with REST API integrations, async state management, and testing for mobile applications, along with a solid understanding of mobile lifecycles and store release processes. Flexibility to act as a generalist across software engineering disciplines such as APIs and infrastructure is important, together with strong communication skills and the ability to work three days a week onsite in Manchester.
