The role
Oversees graduate student services and departmental activities with a primary focus on supporting PhD students.
Manages course scheduling and the quarterly registration process, and maintains accurate academic records through AIS.
Forges positive relationships with internal offices (Registrar, Graduate Studies, Career Services, Health Services, International Affairs) to coordinate programming and resolve student issues.
Provides administrative support for graduate programming, including orientation, candidacy exams, awards, student organizations, and graduation processes.
Manages student funding activities—supplemental stipends, fellowships, and payroll/payments—working with the local business center.
Supports accommodations for students with disabilities, monitors policy guidance, and contributes to process improvements and communications.
