The role
A recognised construction management firm in Braintree seeks a qualified Carpenter to undertake diverse commercial carpentry tasks. Responsibilities include executing projects from blueprints, installing drywall, cabinetry, flooring, and fitting doors, collaborating with teams to meet deadlines, and completing punch lists. Candidates should possess proven experience in restoration carpentry, including flooring, siding, and door hanging, with at least two years in a commercial setting. They must have their own basic tools, reliable transportation, and be willing to undergo a background check. The role offers full-time employment with a schedule Monday to Friday, sometimes working weekends, and a pay range of £20 to £35 per hour based on experience. Technical skills required include proficiency with carpentry tools and methods, including blueprint reading, and familiarity with commercial building procedures.
