The role
A security analyst monitors and analyses security alerts, such as IDS, ADS, Firewall logs and SIEM data, to identify and respond to cyber threats. The role involves assisting in incident response and implementing counter-measures to mitigate risks. Candidates should have experience with firewalls, network protocols, operating systems, and security tools, alongside good problem-solving skills. Knowledge of incident management, recovery procedures, and technical environments like AWS, Windows, Linux, and Active Directory is essential. The position requires flexibility to work shift patterns in a 24x7 environment, coupled with strong customer service skills. Relevant security certifications and experience with SIEM systems and service desk tools are desirable.
