The role
A Commissioning Editor in Aberdeen is responsible for developing high-quality content and making editorial decisions that meet scientific standards. The role involves staying informed about sector developments, initiating new editorial features, and benchmarking against competitors to optimise engagement. Candidates should possess a biomedical background at least BSc level and have substantial editorial experience in scientific publishing, especially within nucleic acid therapeutics. Strong relationship management, organisational skills, and knowledge of open access publishing are essential. The position requires at least four years in journal management or editorial roles in academic publishing.
