The role

An electrical engineer is responsible for investigating and diagnosing faults within railway rolling stock, working with schematic drawings and in high voltage environments. They facilitate the engineering process by downloading and analysing train diagnostic data, producing detailed reports, and assisting with on-train system testing. The role requires proficiency in fault finding techniques, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure. Candidates should have GCSEs in Maths and English, relevant electrical experience, and knowledge of quality standards and 5S methodology. Teamwork, problem-solving, and multitasking skills are essential to support off-site railway depots and liaise with production teams.
