The role
The Cybersecurity Specialist will implement and execute risk management processes using NIST RMF, FISMA, and FIPS frameworks.
Collaborate with IT teams to identify vulnerabilities, perform security control assessments, and conduct risk analyses.
Develop and maintain Plans of Action & Milestones (POA&Ms) and support the system's Authorization to Operate (ATO) process.
Serve as the focal point for enterprise System Security Plans (SSPs) and RMF responsibilities with ISO/ISSO teams.
Integrate security measures into new and existing information systems and major applications while staying current on threats and technologies.
Work within a unified team to ensure compliance with federal standards and protect information systems.
