The role
An exhibition and event builder and carpenter is responsible for preparing and constructing temporary structures and installations, working closely with design teams to meet project specifications. They operate hand and power tools, interpret technical drawings, and follow health and safety regulations during workshop and on-site activities. The role involves loading and unloading equipment, supporting assembly and dismantling, and assisting on-site with set reconstructions. Candidates need practical carpentry, painting, finishing skills, and driving licence, with experience in building exhibition stands and structures advantageous. Flexibility for weekend work and the ability to work in a team are essential, alongside a keen interest in live events and installations.
