The role
Lead and coordinate breaking news coverage, ensuring accuracy, urgency, and balance.
Shape daily story planning and identify stories that matter to the community using editorial judgment and social listening.
Create and edit compelling content for digital platforms (website, mobile app, streaming) while upholding AP style and fairness.
Guide newsroom logistics and provide editorial support for reporters, producers, and photojournalists.
Edit content for accuracy, grammar, and digital best practices; enhance storytelling with graphics, video, and audience-submitted content.
Use metrics to inform coverage, improve audience reach, and uphold journalistic standards across platforms.
