The role
Lead mechanical system design for semiconductor tool installations, including utility matrices, POU connections, and compliance with vibration, acoustics, and EMI/RFI criteria.
Design and oversee HVAC, critical process cooling/heating, UPW/DI water, drains, and ultra-pure water systems for contamination-controlled environments.
Perform thermodynamic, hydraulic, and psychrometric analyses to optimize performance, energy efficiency, and operational stability; ensure safety and code compliance (ASME, ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA, SEMI).
Conduct design reviews, HAZOPs, constructability assessments, field verifications, and provide construction support including start-up oversight.
Lead interdisciplinary coordination with electrical, process, controls, and architectural teams; develop SOOs and contribute to control narratives.
Mentor junior engineers, drive continuous improvement, and serve as technical authority for mechanical engineering in high-tech facilities.
