The role
The role involves progressing electrical design tasks for data centres and mission-critical facilities, with increasing independence in project stages, under the guidance of senior engineers. The candidate will develop electrical calculations, specifications, and drawings, ensuring compliance with UK and international standards, while supporting technical documentation and site queries. Coordination with other disciplines and technical development are key responsibilities, alongside participating in design meetings and technical reviews. The engineer will deepen technical expertise in electrical systems and UK regulations, supporting construction-stage activities and mentoring junior staff. A strong knowledge of LV/MV power distribution, resilience philosophies, and UK electrical standards is essential, along with a relevant degree and professional development towards chartership.
