The role
As a Principal Staff Software Engineer, you will architect and drive the end-to-end Data-as-a-Service platform, shaping ingestion, semantic modeling, metadata, and product delivery. Set platform standards and reusable patterns for ingestion, modeling, lineage, observability, and access control to accelerate cross-team adoption. Collaborate with senior engineering, product, and business leaders to align data architecture with strategic objectives and scale for billions of records. Mentor senior engineers and architects, promoting best practices in distributed systems, platform reliability, and semantic clarity. Drive innovation by evaluating modern open-source and cloud-native technologies and integrating them into production data services. Serve as a bridge across Data Acquisition, Semantic Modeling, Data Products, and Governance to ensure trusted, consistent data across domains.
