The role
The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer designs, deploys, and manages Amazon Web Services infrastructure across the organisation, ensuring security, scalability, and cost-efficiency. They work collaboratively with technical teams to provide expert guidance on cloud architecture, automation, and optimisation strategies. Responsibilities include managing AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, and Lambda, as well as automating operations with tools like CloudFormation and Terraform. The role involves monitoring cloud services, supporting migration projects, and maintaining documentation, all while adhering to security and compliance policies. Candidates should possess proven AWS experience, scripting skills, and knowledge of cloud security practices, with additional knowledge of container services and DevOps methodologies considered desirable.
