The role
A Project Accountant is responsible for providing financial support across major NHS capital business cases, developing and reviewing investment appraisal models, and undertaking detailed financial analysis to support decision-making. They will work closely with senior finance, programme, project, estates, commercial, and clinical teams to ensure business cases are financially robust, evidence-based, and deliver value for money. The role involves applying HM Treasury Green Book methodology, challenging assumptions, and supporting business case approval processes within the NHS. Candidates should possess NHS experience, strong financial modelling skills, and excellent stakeholder management abilities. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to significant infrastructure schemes and capital programmes within a high-profile NHS environment.
