The role
An electrical engineer will contribute to water and wastewater projects by designing and reviewing electrical systems, including motor control centres, LV distribution, cabling, instrumentation, and industrial networks. They will produce technical specifications, challenge client specifications, and ensure designs meet current standards. The role involves managing project interfaces, conducting technical reviews, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop practical, safe solutions. They will supervise and mentor junior staff, perform site reviews, and engage with clients to support project aims. Candidates should have a degree in electrical engineering, relevant professional membership, and experience in water or infrastructure projects. The position requires a valid driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites.
