The role
A senior DevOps engineer supports digital transformation initiatives by establishing DevOps practices, tooling, and methodologies across teams. They drive improvements through automation, standardisation, and stakeholder engagement, presenting technical findings and influencing strategic decisions. The role requires a proven track record in large enterprise environments, particularly within central government, with skills in Java and AWS. Candidates should possess hands-on technical capabilities alongside strategic influencing skills and be comfortable meeting milestones within outcome-focused projects. The position involves occasional travel and a 6-month contract with a day rate of £500 outside IR35. It requires BPSS clearance upon commencement and offers the opportunity to work remotely with flexible travel to Manchester.
