The role
A Cyber Security Analyst monitors and responds to security incidents, conducts vulnerability assessments, and supports testing activities within retail environments. They collaborate with IT and compliance teams to maintain security controls and analyse security logs generated from SIEM and endpoint protection tools. The role requires technical skills in AV, EDR, and vulnerability scanning tools, as well as strong analytical capabilities. Candidates should hold qualifications such as CompTIA Security+, SC 200, CISSP, or CEH, and demonstrate the ability to work effectively in small teams. Responsibilities also include supporting security awareness campaigns, keeping up with emerging threats, and assisting in audits to ensure regulatory compliance. The position involves technical expertise, a proactive approach to threat management, and the ability to adapt to evolving cyber security challenges.
