The role
A care support worker is required in Derby to provide person-centred support to a child with cerebral palsy. They will assist with personal care including feeding, bathing and toileting, and support daily activities and therapy exercises. The role involves working within a team, delivering flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and occasional nights, with training provided by specialists and therapists. Experience in delivering complex care and rehabilitation is preferred, and a full manual driving licence is essential due to the need to drive an adapted vehicle. The position is part-time, permanent, and subject to DBS and reference checks, with a focus on respecting the child's wishes and fostering independence.
