The role
A cybersecurity analyst specialising in threat detection and hunting is responsible for monitoring security systems, responding to incidents, and employing threat intelligence platforms. They must have experience in security operation centres, incident response, and threat hunting methodologies, with hands-on knowledge of cloud security platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Microsoft 365. Candidates should possess strong documentation skills and understanding of Active Directory, Endpoint Operating Systems, and Windows logging and telemetry. The role involves responding to threats like malware and social engineering using threat artefacts and IOCs, and requiring a solid background in cybersecurity practices. A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience and certifications, is essential.
