The role
An established specialist contractor seeks an experienced Estimator to join their commercial team in Barnsley. The role involves preparing accurate tenders from drawings, specifications, and Bills of Quantities, as well as obtaining quotations and assessing risks. Candidates should have at least three years' estimating experience within groundworks or reinforced concrete structures, and be confident in measuring quantities and reading technical drawings. The position requires strong commercial awareness, stakeholder management skills, and the ability to handle multiple tenders simultaneously. Knowledge of construction methods and technologies relevant to civil engineering projects valued up to £30 million is essential.
